A Nigerian genius coverts petrol-run buses to full electric

Mustapha Gajibo from Borno state, Nigeria converts petrol buses to full electric. He also build cars from scratch.

A Nigerian genius in Borno by name Mustapha Gajibo converts buses that run on petrol to full electric.

The charging time for full charge is about 35 minutes. He also incorporates solar power by adding photovoltaic panels to increase the range of the buses. 

The conversions are not limited to buses but also tricycles.

Mustapha also produces his own 12 seater buses from scratch using mostly local contents. They can go 200km after a fully charged session.

His facility was visited by the vice President professor Yemi Osinbajo, the state governor in person of Zulum and car designer Jelani Aliyu.

Mustapha hopes to raise more funds for his startup.
